Internet Outage affecting some customers (approx 40 customers)

June 1st, 2009

We have issue affecting some users access, engineers are investigating. We are expecting second-line to report back at 1pm today (1st June 2009) with a status update.

2pm – Trace routes don’t show any issues. 1 Tunnel with 40 customers connected, Second tunnel down. Escalation to third level. More updates to follow

3pm – We understand this is .affecting one other ISP in the UK and are still in the process of determining the fault

3.53pm – The second tunnel is up. We are just carrying out additional tests. If you still have no internet access, please reboot and try again

Reason for yesterday’s Outage

Authentication attempts that were coming through from BT were reaching us, but any data we were trying to send
back towards BT to continue the authentication process was being dropped.

This configuration has since been corrected and we do not expect this
problem to occur again. Albion apologise for the inconvenience this has caused.
